The Roundup | 4 things to do this week: Welcome fall with these tips - Cecil Whig

The Autumnal Equinox is this Sunday, meaning it's really time to let go of summer and dive into pumpkins, football and sweaters.

Now that it's official, here are four things to do this week to welcome in the cool weather.

1) Ditch the iced coffee

Well, you could keep drinking iced coffee if that's just your style. But to really enjoy fall, enjoy a steaming hot cup of cocoa, pumpkin flavored coffee or warm apple cider.

2) An apple a day

Nothing says fall like a visit to an apple orchard. Luckily, Cecil County has you covered when it comes to agriculture.

3) Spring into cleaning

Fall isn't associated with cleaning the way spring is, but there are sweaters to pull out of storage and boots to dust off. It's also a last chance to clean up outdoors before truly inclement weather heads our way this winter.

4) Bake up a storm

Send your favorite fall recipe to the Cecil Whig! We're looking to hear from our readers with their favorite fall recipes. Is it something with salted caramel? A pumpkin cheesecake? Or maybe it's your go-to tailgate spread. Let us know at accent@cecilwhig.com.
