Apple has plugged a gaping security hole in iOS 7 which allowed interlopers to snoop through fanbois' private content.
When iOS 7 was released last week, Apple watchers quickly found they could bypass the lock screen bypass method by sliding up the new Control Center and performing a nifty button combination requiring perfect timing.
If successful, this allowed access to the camera section of the mobe, allowing half-hearted hackers to share images to social networks. Some online sources also claimed the bug allowed access to Twitter and Facebook themselves, as well as giving raiders access to text messages.
Apple released iOS 7.0.2 last night, which fixes the problem. It also introduces a Greek keyboard for tapping in passwords. Let's just hope they don't describe the introduction of the blinged up iChav phone as a Golden Dawn. ®
